COLEGIO DE DAGUPAN  LAUNCHES UN  CORNER

Colegio De Dagupan, in partnership with the United Nations Information Center – Manila (UNIC), launched a UN Corner on November 17, 2009  with an initial collection determined by UNIC – Manila’s Ms. Charito Sanalila. Initial collection are UN publications in various formats such as books, brochures, continuing resources, and posters. Please see list @ https://cddlibrary.wordpress.com/library-staff/. This initiative is one of the strategies set forth by CDD Librarians with their goal to fully integrate the fourth pillar of education, “learning to live together”, to the reference and technical functions of the CDD Library in contribution to CDD’s pursuit for excellence in instruction.

CDD UN CORNER

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS & ACCOUNTANCY RANKS FIRST IN MOST NUMBER OF LIBRARY USERS               by Marilyn P. Caguioa

The Colegio De Dagupan Library registered a total of 16,291 users during the 1st semester of the academic year 2009-2010. As shown in the graph of usage statistics and table of data label values below, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) earned the most number of users with a total of 5,439 or 33.4% followed by the College and Information and Computing Studies (CICS) at 4,744 or 29.1203%. The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) ranked third with 3,480 library users, 21.361% of the total number of users. The College of Nursing (CON) with 1,583 library users and the College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASEd) with 1,045 library users were the fourth and the fifth respectively. Apparently, the number of active library users per college and their ranking is indicative of the number of enrollees in each college.

This library usage data will be utilized by the library personnel in planning and decision making along promotion and information/reference services. Congratulations to the College of Business and Accountancy!
